The Arlington Heights Nurses Club introduced its 2011-2012 scholarship winners to members at a recent meeting. A total of four nursing students were honored.
Jaclyn Kanners was awarded the Martha Jackson Scholarship. She is enrolled in the Master's Entry to Nursing Practice (MENP) program at DePaul University. She also holds a B.S. degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan. A fellow University of Michigan graduate, Tim Kuypers, received the Beverly Tresnowski Scholarship. He is enrolled in the BSN program at Chamberlain College of Nursing. Kimberly Nylec, a student in the BSN program at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and Mary Katherine Trunk, a student in the BSN program at St. Louis University were also honored with a Nurses Club Scholarship.
Scholarship assistance to local nursing students and registered nurses who wish to further their nursing education continues to be a top priority for the club. The mission of the Arlington Heights Nurses Club includes dedication to philanthropy, education and community service.
